thermostat install

Post by reebs »

Which is the proper way to install the thermstat? Does the spring end go into the block or into the hose?

You always want the side with the heat couple (spring) on the "hot" or engine side of the installation. Otherwise it will not function properly with the device that opens it on the side away from the heat sourse.

I do not think it will fit in backwards anyway. The housing cover is too small to fit the couple and spring under it.
