I was looking at a replacement carpet for the tercel, but all i ever see is carpets for the 2 door early 80's tercels, however looking at the pictures, i'm willing to bet it would fit anyways.
has anyone had a 2 door tercel coupe? or even seen one in a junk yard and could tell if they are the same?
The carpet should be the same length, and as long as the rear sides haven't been trimmed differently, it should fit. However, the 4WD carpet is different from the 2WD carpet. 2WDs don't have the air ducts that run along the sides of the transmission tunnel and exit under the front seats. If you remove the ducts, it might work.
I'm wanting to do the exact opposite. I want to find a nice original 4WD carpet so I can add the air ducts to my 2WD.

I have an 81 liftback and a friend has an 82 coupe, and both are completely different from the wagon (different seats, mounting positions, floor pan layout, etc.). I'm not sure when the body was re-designed, but I would be quite surprised if the carpets from any 2 door would fit a wagon.
I debating the removal of my carpet because it always seems wet in the winter. I sometimes put a heater in the cab overnight to dry it out but with all the snow and slush it seems wet all the time on the drivers side.
I have a leak probably from under the vent cover under the windshield...I ended up using gear oil under the carpet on the padding to help stop rust and a large rubber floor mat made to catch ice and snow.
