So, driving around doing errands today, I passed an older Nissan truck for sale. It looked to be in good condition, but I did a double-take after seeing the rear axle. I don't know much about Nissan's, but do you think this is original, or did someone modify this?
In 1994 I had a 1980 Datsun stepside pickup. Back then, all the Japanese pickups arrived at port with no beds, to avoid heavy taxes, and the beds were built and installed in the US. Mine was a 3/4 ton cab and chassis (4 speed instead of 5, springs were stiff as hell), with Chevy style fenders on the bed. I got a lot of comments on that truck, and I wish I'd never sold it.
BTW, I think that Nissan dually is aftermarket. All the Nissan and Toyota factory duallys I've ever seen had matching wheels on the front, just like their american counterparts. JC Whitney used to sell those dually conversion wheel sets and fenders.
