Good price on a Aux.Accel.Pump Diaphragm ?

My local dealer wants $45 just for the diaphragm.I think that's a little steep.

Makes you wonder how they could sell a car for $12,000 when it has a $120,000 worth of parts in it.

LOL, good point!

I think $45 half the cost of a rebuilt carb if memory serves me right, i'd check it out on rock auto.

The carb is $383.79 plus a $75 core charge at Rock Auto.

And $45 for the diaphragm seems high to me as well.

if thats the case, i got a spare carb i could sell for alot less than $400, it works pretty well, its just the one i have on my tercel now works alot better (the one i'm using now is a rebuilt thats about 5 years old)

You can get a whole reman carb for $165 from National Carburetors (online). I did in late '05, and it is still that price.
You can also get a complete GP Sorensen carb kit from AZ, ADV, NAPA, etc., for $20-30, which includes the diaphragm.
If you remove the carb, be certain to check out my carburetor gasket thread, wherein I chronicle my gasket questions and others answered (mit photos).
