front ring and pinion

well went to do a tranny swap and checked things first. The ring and pinion are missing some teeth. Has anybody been here before. Where can i get the parts. The Mailman

Somebody had a catastrophic failure...guess that's what you'd call it...where one tooth at least...on the ring broke.

He had a writeup and some pics.

My front diff was run in metal powder for 2K miles or so...no issues that I can tell...yet.

iv had teeth gone missing but in the spider gears, ring and pinion fine, but if the ring and pinion broke, it wasnt set properly

Finally went after 129K. do you think toyota will make it right.
