And those pictures aren't too bad for that resolution...I've seen worse. Is that Walmart's $13 or so camera? I was wanting to buy the one they had for $20 or so.
My camera takes it's best pictures on a cloudy day with not so much bright sun and contrast.
Maybe you could explain how to get a pic on this site?
Thanks for the compliment. Actually the body on this one is not that bad. Even here where it doesn't snow or salt is not used I've seen some pretty bad ones. I mean I saw one with the whole right side where the gas cap is at. There is only some rust where the bolts go under the bumper in the rear near the gas tank and where the jack points are at. It's just the mechanical part of the car that's screwed up.
The pictures I took were in hi resolution and in low with compression, the picture is small and is distorted if you don't take it right. I guess you just have to play around with it until you get the hang of it. This is an argus (the a is not capitalized) DC1512 which is $20 at Wal-Mart. There was another one that had the shape of a stick which is also on the site but I decided to get this one. I would have really have wanted to have bought the Vivitar but they didn't have it and I couldn't wait. The resolution in high is 352 x 288 pixels and in low its 176 x 144 pixels. I wanted the Vivitar to get the 640 x 480 resolution but that one only had 8 MB of ram and this one has 16 MB so there are pros and cons. Both of those $20 ones don't have flash and you shouldn't expect much for $20 anyway. I, in fact was surprised to be able to take pictures in bright sun. It's a huge step from the web cam when I couldn't take pictures at all and be able to actually tell what it was. I thank you for letting me know about these cameras. For my adventures and repair work I would really like to get a $125-130 Olympus or similar. I would like the flash and better quality so that I can take the pics in any condition especially the dark portions under the car and under sunlight, of course most cameras don't do well in sunlight. First I have to take it apart and do the clutch, suspension, and brakes before anything else, but I would also like the camera.
You were asking how I got the pic on the site; I just used the 'IMG' button and then put the website (in our case images.geekazoids.net/the name of the pic.jpg) adress, then it should work.
