Back in 1983, Road & Track got a 4WD Tercel to do the 1/4 mile in 20.4 @ 66.0 MPH and 0-60 MPH in 16.5 seconds. Not much performance for $10,473!

I really need to see if the Suzuki TBI makes any difference in acceleration....

Completely stock?

Just running FWD on a thing with stock power is likely best. Running 4wd doubles your parasitic driveline loss. When you only have 62-80 horse to work with (the dual-carbie is 80 right?) thats no good.

Try some simple stuff... K&N filter, indexing the spark plugs, side-gapping or using something like the E3 plugs.

Grats! I think I could run low 20's right now... I'm hoping once I'm done I'll see in the neighborhood of 90 horses, so maybe expect 18's? 17's?

the plugs are denso race ones, indexed and gapped, running on 95 octane fuel on 15 inch wheels with a 4.10, it is a single carb 3ascv with the crappy ehaust manifold

right now im not spending a lot of money on the car, i was planing a 4age swap but i since got my hands on a colt and an evo 3 engine so everything goes in there, maybe later in the year ill do something radical to the car, so for the time being just autocross, and brackett racing
