ISO 3a intake manifold and carb

I have an 86 Tercel from Japan with the 3ASU twin carbureted motor. I bought it as a non running vehicle and while I have managed to get it running and put a number of miles on it, it's never ran quite right. It's hard to start, idles erratically and will diesel when shutting off. I believe most of my issues are due to the carbs not being synced or adjusted properly. However there is no documentation to be found as the engine was only produced for 2 years and was only available in Japan. I have too many vehicles and would like to sell it but I'd like to get it running the best it can before handing the vehicle off to someone else.

The US 3A and the JDM 3ASU share the same manifold to block gaskets so I should be able to throw on a single carb manifold and get it tuned in. I'm looking for an Intake manifold, carburetor and as much of the air cleaner, intake boot etc as I can find as that will all be different than what I have now.

I would also consider selling the car as is, It would be neat to keep it all original or for someone else to take on the project. I'm located in southern Vermont.

thats an interesting import -- 2 door tercel with the spicy motor. i would love to do the swap, but it would be a monumental undertaking -- every single vacuum line and component would have to be swapped over between the two motors. and then, not having any info would make it hard to fix the down draft carbs.
