Asked to buy my car

Post by JOE »

I'm not sure if this happens to everybody but it seems I can't go anywhere with out someone offering to buy my car. Either they give me a card or piece of paper with there name and number, or once, at the shell station offer to give me money on the spot. Also wish I had a garage because the amount of people who come to the door about it has started to get me thinking about disconnecting the door bell.

Anyway just wondering if anyone else has the same story to tell.

Kind of neat really. Wouldn't have trouble selling he car, would I?

Happened once to me. Which was odd considering the Tercel (Hornbeam) is a field beater with no title or driver's side B pillar. It just happened to run out of gas on top of a hill near the road in a very visible location. I don't know if he wanted it for parts or what, but he said he understood why it wasn't for sale. We ended up talking about 4WD Tercels for about half an hour. His was stock except for oversized tires.

Happened 2 times to me, got a note once, and one time somebody stopped by my parents' house to ask. Flattering. Actually one time somebody just took it. SO I guess that's 3 times then

Never had offers for my tercel. I've talked to a few people who have one/had one and liked them.
I used to get regular interest in my 68 plymouth fury when I used to drive it.
