I thought my cv-joint was bad....

well I thought it was bad but I guess I was wrong. This is what the real problem was:

The tread was falling off my tire. The funny thing is that it made a clunking noise just like a cv-shaft would make when it is going bad. Well the shaft is much cheaper then new tires would be so I was a little more pissed about the tire. Then I notice my spare set of Honda rims and tire that I have. I looked at the lug pattern and the space in the center hub. What do you know they fit nice and snug. The bad thing with these tires is that the over all hight is about 1 inch taller and is about 1 inch wider.

The rims are from a '91 Honda Prelude Si. They do look nice on there but I think the stock white ones give it a much better look.

I had much the same thing go wrong with my original tires, except mine wasn't the tread, it was the inside sidewall!! :o

Oh, and as a by the way, there's a LOT of 4 bolt rims will fit our little cars (unlike the thinnking of my local wrecking yard  )

Mine happen to be off a Mustang II...
1986 Tercel Wagon 4X4 SR5 (sold to splatterdog).

Well...if you don't want those Prelude rims...let me know.
