Crazy 4ag-e Carib from Japan with every mod con

Post by Mattel »

(Tercel)Dude pimp my Terc...

...No need, its allready been done 4ag-e, DVD, Twin System, Cup holders, Electric windows, ugly 2 tone, Sat Nav?, luggage nets, probably a Lazerdisk player, two turntables and a microphone in there too. I want one A.S.A.P.OK!!!!!

Allright, perhaps I'm getting a little excited (I'm starting to realise what Terceldude is on about now)!!!!.

this seller wants about 1,000,000 yen for his machine (about $9,000 US I think) which kinda puts it in perspective

heaps more images at this link. love to know more about the engine setup though.. anyone keen to ask the seller a question or two? what are the AV-11 badges all about?

I'm actually going to be in Japan in 3 weeks for 10 days, although not sure if I'm anywhere near this seller (can't tell where from this link), as I will be in Hokaido (the north island) snowboarding the mountains of powder snow.

More info photo's and much bigger shots available on this link (just click through the thumbnails.. Typrus beware. it's a 56k modem killer):

Mattel -
Sweeet, for many.
The body-color grille is clever - have to 'puter modify my Eighty-Six Pix to see how the gold would look.
The last pix never did clear up, so I can't tell what the projection below the rear bumper is, though.

No.

No,
It was 100,000 Yen (1 hundred thousand yen ). That equaled about $917.43 USD at the time. If you want to buy the car, Mattel, its yours! I'll let you! As a matter of fact, I'd be completely happy if you did. You can buy the RV Special one as well, that I posted in General in the Kanagawa Prefecture. That is priced at $3500 USD. In For AUD, you would have to convert it using an online currency converter. Just make sure you can register and import them to Austrailia first. Use Japan Partner too.
Have fun! I bought 14 or so items from the same auction site as the cars (Yahoo! Japan Auctions). I bought car brochures and used rinkya.com to distribute them to me in the USA. Have fun buying the 2 Sprinter Caribs, Mattel! ;)

According to my guidebook. I will be no where near these cars when I get to Japan so car shopping is not on the itinerary plus we have so many good Tercels for sale in Australia and mine (hopefully) won't need replacing for a while. Although that is a great price for that Wagon!

There is a Tercel Sprinter Carib around near me in Melbourne.. It's exactly the same as my car. Not sure whether it's an import or just an imported tailgate that someone has put on there car.

TercelDude, do you know what the AV-11 badges stand for on these cars?

That auto (the grey one) has only done 53,000 kays or something ridiculous!

Mattel's response.

No, I don't. I don't know what the AV-II badges stand for, except I'm guessing Aerodymanic Vehicle 2. You'd have to ask a Toyota dealership salesman in your area if he's heard of the Sprinter Carib model and ask him what AV in AV-II, and AV-I stands for. What brings you to Japan, I'm jealous!!! Tell me if there are any chicks there, fo' sho'! A'ight? Do you have relatives in Japan? Are you part Japanese? I'm just curious. But I would be happy if you bought both Sprinter Caribs that i mentioned to go with your Tercels. Sweet, dawg! Keep up the snowboarding! That's rad, man!!!!!!!! :D :) 8) I know that RV in RV-Special means Recreational Vehicle. So Recreational Vehicle Special. That is an AL25G Sprinter Carib trim line. Just like the AV-II Touring Special, the AV-II and the AV-I. Swerd, yo! I think I'll buy more from Yahoo! Japan Auctions! Should I? Maybe I should.
