the 2wd wagons are just old econo boxes without a lot of market interest. so do not think the 2wd version has the same desirability as teh 4wd wagon.
I think you would be lucky to get your money out of it. I could not even give away a 4wd wagon that has an auto trans. it is the 5 speed 4wd wagons that sell well, and only those, particularly the SR5.

I have 2 manual 4wd transmissions. Couldn't one convert an auto to manual?
Can be done (I did it a few years back to my '87 4WD) but you pretty much need a donor vehicle (LOTS to swap over including the top of the tranny floor pan tunnel where the shifters attatch.)
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!
83 SR5 Silver/Blue (Snowmobile/work beater)-totaled but drivable
85 SR5 Blue
88 SR5 White (the 'good' one)-not anymore-totaled
87 fwd silver wagon a/t
87 4wd dx Cream (a/t- not anymore- now m/t)
T4WD augury?
