hey guys im not sure how much interest is out there but I have a full A/C swap that I can sell as a swap or if any of you guys need just one piece.
let me know.
I will get some pictures of all the A/C components tonight.
also I am going to be sending my 83 T4 to the junk yard soon, so if anyone needs something let me know. im will only be holding on to this car for maybe one more week
I personally never ran it but it looks like its in pretty good shape. when I bought my blue 87, the guy I bought it from said he was going to install it but never got around to it.
you should save the rack and pinion, and that u-joint linkage on the steering shaft (if they are good of course). also, the drive shaft and transmission of course. I also like to keep the front steering knuckles (if the bearings and seals are good), as well as the rear axles if the rear axle bearings are good (the one pressed on to the axle shaft).
Eventually the wheel bearings (both front and rear) will wear out, and it is much faster and cheaper to either swap the axle out, or swap out the steering knuckle, to replace the bearing. You do not need to pay a machine shop to press off the old bearing and install the new since you already have it installed on your old car parts.
that will only work if you have a trailer to haul the car off, once you take these parts off it will not flat tow. the first one I junked I left those parts on it so I can tow it over, and soon regretted it. One of the front bearings was less than a year old, and the replacement T4wd soon had the same one go out.
not really- got plenty of 'em in stock! Now a left side headlight ass'y...
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!
