gas tank problem?

my car keeps running out of gas at like 11 gallons

i pushed it 2 miles to the gas station at 5am and found out, hey wait my tank has 13.5 gallons, but when i filled it up after running out of gas, it only fit 10.5 - 11 gallons in

this has happened the past 2 tanks of gas

any ideas? fuel pump?

I can run my car til the fuel lamp is steady lit, and then only put 9 1/2 gallons in everytime. I think Toyota was crazy in their conversion or something.....

I'm pretty sure I've put over 12 G in mine.

I only put 11.5 gallons in mine too the last time I ran out of gas. I wonder what it is... :huh:

nobody knows? i will run some treatments through the tank while we are on tour and see if that helps, if not ill check fuel lines etc


anyone know a cheap place to get shocks in the meantime?

Eatpants, go to Ebay, look up seller fruitridgeautomotive. I bought front and back Monroe struts and shocks, it was around $65 for all 4 shipped. I think the shocks alone were around $22 for the pair shipped. And they came quick. Also, check your ride height, might as well do springs as well, although it cost around $130 for those (all 4), unless you can find them on ebay. But it gave me just under 2 inches of lift, back to the stock height.

And we still need to figure out this damn gas tank thing. I filled it up again, gas light on steady for 15 or so miles, 9.79 gallons. And I only get around 22mpg right now. Anyone have a spare tank they can fill and empty to do an exact measure?

the tank capacity is exactly what it says in the manual
13.5 gallons or something

because up until a month ago, i could use every last drop in the tank
