Wiper Linkage Bushing Repair

I made a boo-boo and posted this follow-up question to an earlier post in the Parts section. Sorry. Amateur hour over here!

Recently fixed my wiper linkage. The wiper arm is the part I needed to swap out. I pulled a new arm from an 85 or 86 FWD Tercel. Got that new wiper arm installed and it worked great for about a week...

My issue now is with the wiper linkage bushing: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8585&hilit=wiper+linkage+bushing

Was wondering if anyone has tried that or anything else to get those bushings to stick? Would a strong adhesive work?
