2wd vs 4wd

Post by AME11 »

Is there a way of telling a 2wd wagon from a 4wd? I thought i remember hearing that a 4wd has the gas flap on the passenger side? Is that correct? Also do the 4wd wagons come in automatic?

i found an add for a Tercel but it didn't give many details and i didn't want to bother the seller until i figured out if i was interested or not..

Thanks

4wd's have the gas filler door on the passenger side. they also have a 4wd logo on the grill and hatch. if the picture is from low enough, you will also see the round rear diff of the rear axle.

they did come in automatics. most here don't like the automatics but some really do. it's a matter of personal taste.

Nothing wrong with a FWD Auto wagon! Our 87 is that and we love it.
