Back door piston struts
Need to replace both strut pistons for the back door. Found USA made pistons on Ebay. My question is will the OEM pistons separate from the ball they are attached to.

i don't know if the hatchbacks have the same lift supports as the wagons but i would bet they do, and in that case, the ball and socket joints do not detach from the rest of the strut.
