Combo switch Repairs ?

Post by Social »

Anyone got a loose headlamp switch?
When i indicate due to the switch being old it switches either the parkers or lights off or on..
Its becoming annoying..
A fix would be great..
I was just going to put a rubber band around it to hold it ..But thats not fixing anything
Thanks 8)

Junkyard replacement might be your best bet!

if you can not find a replacement it is worth taking it apart to see if it can be repaired. these multi-switches are not difficult to remove and take apart. You pull the steering wheel, and the plastic trim on the steering column, and two connectors and several screws will have it out. If I recall there are several tabs or screws that are easy to remove to open it up. Parts wear out, so if you can fabricat a new contact or even bend it so it makes better contact, stretch or replace worn springs, etc. you can get it to work again. It is worth a try.
