The last Shasta car

Post by Gottolovem »

Picked up the last Shasta car yesterday i think this one is going to need some front end work
I will be picking this clean of anything worth while and scraping it soon, so far the entire rear axle and fuel tank is spoken for.
Let me know if there is something weird you want off of this before it gets crushed there is not much to pick from.

Save all the glass maybe? I might be interested in the hatch, how is it?

Also the rear hatch glass.

The hatch has lot's of surface rust but it's straight.
I plan to pull all the glass last

You would need to pay a visit to reno to get a hatch and put it on the car it's going on here i don't think it will fit in the car

Has anyone ever tried to fit one inside the car? Maby tied down on top

I fit two doors, a hood, two fenders and a rear hatch off of a tercel in the back of a Tercel wagon, rear seats folded down. one rear hatch is not a problem at all. You just have to jockey it around to get it inside. blankets or foam to support it helps.

Man I'd say chicken pluck that sucker for everything bolted on and scrap the unibody, sounds like these things are getting to be rare . . .
It takes more fossil fuel resources to produce new vehicles than it would take to maintain and fuel any 70's or 80's vehicle for a million miles.
