Did you supply 12 volts directly to the fan to see if it still works?

if each of the components pass a bench test, than often on an old car, particularly one that sat around a long time without being driven, the contacts can get corroded.

so first check all of the grounds in the system, tug on them and even remove them if there is any hint of corrosion and clean them. pull out any connectors and push them in and out several times, look for corrosion in any connection in the circuit.

Spray LPS-1 or CRC or similar moisture displacing corrosion inhibitor (do not use WD-40) on all of the wires, fuse box and contacts, spray inside of each connector. this will improve contact, displace moisture, and often makes a unreliable contact work again. I use this inside the distributor, keeps moisture out and will enhance electrical conductivity across the contacts, and will not harm plastic or electrical parts.
