I'll take pics of the completed install. Can't wait to get it.
Man, I'm putting WAY to much $$ into this car. <_< Body work next I guess.

4AC piston has a larger diameter. The bore is larger than that of the 3AC. Stroke is the same though. I guess the 3AC could probably be bored out to the same as the 4AC, but why not just get a good 4AC bottom end? They're a dime a dozen.Typrus wrote: Hmmm....
Does the 4A-C have the same size piston as ours? Can ours be safely bored out to the size of a 4A-C's if not?
PR sells a low-compression turbo piston for the 4A-C.
Easy man...didn't mean to hammer on your plans. You've got an interest, and it seems some talent, and where there is a will, there is a way. I guess I've just seen too many people talk big on forums, when they can't even get their car to run right, or don't know how to do many basic repairs. Or don't have the $$ to do a fraction of what they talk about.Typrus wrote: If I wanted a Corolla or a Supra, I'd get one. The 80's ones aren't too expensive, and I suddenly noticed 6 different Celica All-Tracs hovering around one of the local towns.
Yes, I am an idiot for wanting to do all the different things I want to do.
I don't mean to take this as an affront particularly from you but as a general nuisance-
I must be an idiot for wanting to have to work to make something meet the general standard of "good". I must be a massive moron for wanting to take the time to customize a car thats sub-standard and make it into at very least a conversation piece. I must be an idiot for having a liking for a car that isn't FI, isn't a V-6, and isn't a 2-door sport coupe.
I look at some things and wonder how to improve them. I look at a truck bed and wonder what kind of aerodynamic insert would increase efficiency. I look at our cars and wonder how to shave a few lbs of negative boost off.
I look at a dually and consider how to make the inner/outer tire spin at different rates while still transfering a degree of power to all 4 rear tires in order to decrease the need for specialized tires...
Sorry to mini-rant, but it annoys me how lazy people are... "If you want an off-roader, go buy at least a Samurai..." "If you want something fast, go buy an Eclipse GSX..."
Why don't I take a block of clay and mold it into something slightly different, and more incredible...
Cool man, glad thats cleared up.Typrus wrote: Wasn't accusing you of being lazy, simply my peers.
The point was not really aimed at you, just kind of a general rant to those who can't think outside the box. It was just your comment that set it off. If your posts indicate anything overtime, you sure as hell aren't lazy and you seem to know your stuff (Heck, most of the gas car stuff I know is from here, or at least perked my interest here)
Most of my peers are the lazy, moronic, idiot freaks.
I know you weren't accusing me of being stupid. Again, just a set-off of things from my peer-peer relations.
Yes, I do talk pretty big. No, I don't have the $$$ to back up my plans, no I don't know how to go about doing most of these things. Its all an opportunity to think and learn.
(Sidenote- Who amongst us has told me what can be done to drift these? Who amongst us has given me lift idea? Thoughts on a VW Diesel install? I'm not bashing you guys, and I know you aren't me.)
We do not have to pass any emmissions testing here in Georgia. It may be county specific. Some of the counties closer to, and surrounding Atlanta may have the testing.ARCHINSTL Posted on Aug 31 2005, 10:06 PM
To Weber-folk:
In states with emissions testing (which I thought applied to all states), are there any special hoops through which you have to jump with the Weber? For better or for worse, I have kinda gained the impression that the Weber is for areas without testing - true? Some of you Weber-folk must live in testing areas.
