What is your production number?

Your production number is the last six digits of your VIN. Please post yours along with the year of your car.

For example, my Tercel is a 1983 model and was the 61,677th Tercel produced that year.

If everyone could post that then we could see who has the oldest and newest Tercels.

I have two Tercels, the '83 and '84 both SR5.

1984 Toyota Tercel 4WD SR5, 107,819th Tercel manufactured.
1983 Tercel 4WD SR5, 61,021th Tercel manufactured.

I wonder if there is someone on this board who has a Tercel that was manufactured 10/82 and see where it falls under the production numbers.

Yep... my '83 is pretty soon going to belong to my best friend. He will fix it (well I want to, but with his money), he'll drive it for a while and then sell it back to me! It's a cool scheme to avoid it being crushed, unless my friend becomes attached to it. <_<

Yeah, my '83 is a California one, I live in Los Angeles. It was bought at Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa, CA. But not buy us, we just acquired it when it had 159,128 miles and was 14 yrs old.

I sure hope we can get some more... shogun's Tercel is one of the older ones, basically the first ones manufactured.

My '83 is a Cali one also. I am the second owner and the previous owner was a friend of my mother's who changed the oil every 3000 miles and tuned it up every 6000 since new. Therefore, even though it has 326,000 miles it starts up as soon as you turn the key- you can't hear the starter until after it starts!
It is on its only engine, although I anticipate having to replace it in the next year. Toyota really made a good car!
