Good repair to look into though....
I had a fuel smell that was getting worse and worse. I finally traced it to the hose coming off the purge valve on the charcoal canister, which gets rid of excess fuel fumes (to the best of my knowledge
)The hose was way old and melted onto the canister and into itself. (i never noticed this before? Embarassing...
) Easy repair, just needed to buy a pre-bent hose, remove the melted rubber and the rest is straightforward
18$ fix!
I suppose the canister is old enough to need a cleaning / replacement, but that is for another day..
