Wait, if you see gas sitting in your intake manifold (past the butterfly) then that might be your problem. You may have to take the carb out to let it dry off.

i don't believe any relays are part of starting. what is that relay for? check the FSM if you're unsure.

i agree with irowiki. give it lots of time to dry out, visually check to make sure the manifold and pistons are dry. then disconnect the fuel line so it is pumping into a catch can. then have someone turn the key while you spray starter fluid in and see if it fires.

i'm dying to know the resolution to this.

The fusible link came from right here I do think it may have something to do with it running or not

When I get home today I'll pull that relay and try to start my car and see what happens.

You pull the fusible link and nothing will happen, it's like disconnecting the battery.

Yeah so if stuff works, but it isn't running, it would not be that fusible link.

That relay is for the alternator in assuming. Started without it but wasn't charging.

Thank you again Dan for showing up and helping me figure out that I was wrong and it was 180 out even though I checked and checked I thought it was right.

Now that it runs again I can get her all cleaned up and waxed, the hood needs to be repainted other than that the rest is good .Gottolovem again that is awsome ill see you next time I am in Reno.

i think what messes most up is the compression stroke
that's why i recommend pulling the valve cover and looking at the cam lobes for #1 cylinder to be sure they are both down (and can wiggle both rockers up and down) before installing distributor
Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
