My Tercel wont start

Top dead center correct fuel and spark verified. Have starter turning over and have power to the engine. doesn't seem to make sense to me at this point have checked almost everything twice or three times. Fuel filter new spark plugs new wires new.

Is this a sudden thing or has the car been sitting? If you have verified spark, dribble a bit of fuel down the carb or use a spray of ether. Try to give us more info so we can help you.

did you work on the engine and then it would not start?

if so what did you do?

if distributor was pulled it may be 180 out

Ridlbox is a personal friend of mine and the car is one of my builds. So far we have been through all the basics "via phone" including swapping out the dissy for a known good one, it could be 180 out but I doubt it he knows his way around a car. I'm stumped so I told him to post here he can't get the engine to react at all kick, sputter,backfire nothing it's just suddenly just dead he has been through fuses and relays confirmed spark, fuel, air and still not even a fart out of the motor.

Is there fuel actually coming out of the pump? Pull the hose off going to the carb. Crank the engine over holding a can to catch any fuel.

The will no even buck with a shot of starter fluid down it's throat

Timing belt is in place and doesn't appear to have jumped a tooth. At this point I'm really kind of stuck here with no vehicle and no way of charging the battery is well purchased a solar charger but the darn thing is too slow to get a trickle charge even after 3 to 4 hours..

The vehicle drove to a spot where it sits now the next morning it just didn't start at that point I check for spark he had none replace distributor after that got spark. After that replace spark plugs and wires fuel filter pretty sure the dizzy is not 180 out

The fuel pump is good I did check

This is on the many things that need to be checked. pull the dizzy cap and verify that the diz shaft rotating, have seen lots of sheared roll pins on diz gears , sheared woodruf keys on crankshaft timing belt drive gear. The big question is are you sure this isn't 180 out of time. Larry

Yes I'm sure it's not 180 l have quadruple checked it in fact every time it didn't start I double check to make sure that wasn't wrong. The dizzy shaft does rotate cuz I'm getting spark

Check all my fuses as well they all seem to be good so do the relays

Something blocking fuel flow in carburetor? Stuck needle? Fuel solenoid clicking?
