Quite a few pictures, but not very good quality pics.
Looks like some miss-matched paint on doors/body, may have had some collision work done.

They claim that it is accident free. Does not seem to have much rust for a Minnesota vehicle.

I think that guy in the video has WAY too much enthusiasm for an '80's econo-box, someone needs to do an intervention on him.

Initially, I thought about forwarding the video to relatives and friends, but upon viewing -

OK,

I've learned to curb my sarcasm, as it tends to be hurtful as often as playful or funny (particularly towards individuals). However, I find the sarcasm in this commercial comical and liked the salesman's ability to laugh at himself and the car. Now, as to the market, I assume he's aiming for the "hip-hop let's drop this beotch and throw some neon under it" crowd, but who knows. I'm sure from most salesman's view, it's a "put lip-stick on a pig" vehicle that they can't wait to leave the lot. If I didn't do so much interstate driving and thought the tercel would fit my driving style, the ad wouldn't have hurt any and may have helped. I guess even at 47 years old, I've got some kid in me :)

I may have just bought that very Tercel in the video. I thought the video was comical at its worst and phenomenal at its best. Needless to say, I am more then exited to go pick her up! :D

welcome to the forum Schism87!

congratulations on the purchase. Despite the effort with the video they made to sell the Tercel, I think the price was not unreasonable if it is mechanically sound. The Tercel is a great little 4x4 car, but I think trying to over sell an old econo-box 4wd is rather questionable, usually you would see prices much higher associated with that kind of marketing. But since the price seems fair, the effort and antics seem kind of out of place, unless you can look at it as a kind of sarcasm or comic relief as some have noted.

what made you want to buy a Tercel4wd?

Welcome! It's almost a twin to my 84 (built in 83, but titled as an 84). It really is like being hugged by a lumberjack.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I knew there would be good people here.

I bought it because I'm obsessed with Tercels, to be frank. I had a '95 Tercel and unfortunately sold her when I had my daughter. One of the few decisions I have regretted in my short life.

I'm not sure if she's in great working condition but from what I've been told, she drives well. Here's to hoping that's true when I go pick her up!
My goal is to to make her my "forever" car. We'll see :P

I'm most excited to feel like I'm getting hugged by a lumber jack though!
