15x8 would be really wide. even with really low profile tires, i would bet someone an ice cream cone that you would have some rubbing going on with those.

That datsun 210 wagon tho . . ..
It takes more fossil fuel resources to produce new vehicles than it would take to maintain and fuel any 70's or 80's vehicle for a million miles.
