FRONT GRILL 4X4 EMBLEM REPAIR

Hello again!
Very nice to see the board up and running again. I have noticed on my 86 SR5 wagon that the plastic chrome on the front grill 4x4 emblem is beginning to delaminate and curious if any one has found a vendor for restoration of this chrome on plastic process or has found a product to achieve the same. I know Eastwood company sell a chrome spray paint but do not believe it will accomplish the desired results.

I sanded the "chrome" from mine and very carefully (and very painstakingly!) masked it with grease via a brush and sprayed it with red gloss paint.
Looks great.
I used RustOleum Satin Black Spray and R-O Plastic Primer on the grille and headlight surrounds, but did not scuff with sandpaper, in case it did not stick to the "chrome" of the surrounds and I had to go back to the shiny finish. It'[s lasted for almost 10 years now.
