Hello!
With some despair and regret, I am posting my Tercel wagon. I have driven it a couple years now and its time to let her go as I will be transitioning into a job requiring me to travel more extensively. Its been a great little car for the 8 mile round trip work shuttle I have used it for. Here are a few details....... 1986 SR5 6Speed 133K runs fair. It has a misfire at low rpms on cylinder 3. Haven't looked into it because I have 3 little kids and honestly don't have time. Interior is great, seats are almost perfect, heater and a/c work. Windshield has a couple decent cracks but hasnt affected me. The drivers side pillar plastic is currently off. I have it,but its broken. Has Cd player from a subaru that I have rewired properly myself so it functions on all 4 speakers correctly. Occasionally wont play cds but I haven't tried cleaning the laser lens either. 4wd works excellent, trans is smooth, clutch has 133k on it and is fair. I am real gentle on the car so I foresee no issues with the clutch with me behind the wheel. Needs brake pads on front, started squeaking a couple weeks back and haven't had time to fix them. Everything works except fuel gauge reads full, then goes to 1/4 tank after 50 miles or so. Low fuel light does work though. Rear defrost, rear wiper/washer work also. Paint is fair, no rust but faded. All plastic body moulding intact. Has some new parts mechanically, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, thermostat, new fluids all around. Good little car, hate to see it go but will need something more freeway friendly here soon. Posting here before I go to C.L. Or anywhere else. Car deserves someone who will treat her with respect as I have. Call if you would like 1-208-three-zero-eight-5245. I cant post pics right now, but would be more than happy to email or picture message interested parties.
Matt

slick, a belated welcome to the forum.
that is actually a decent price for the car if that is all that is wrong with it. It would sell for much more in the Seattle area where they are highly sought after, once the minor issues are fixed. It looks like it has a decent body and inteiror. Was one door panel replaced?
Can you describe in more detail the low speed miss? how do you know it is the #3 cylinder? I would think it was wires, cap or spark plugs but you listed those are new. Usually if it is missing, and not a bad plug or wire, it would be missing on all cylinders. has a compression check be done to make sure it is not internal damage or valves?

Thanks for the welcome.
I'm sure the miss isn't only at low speeds. I have put a few thousand more miles on the car over the last several months, using it as my local runabout, and am certain the miss is across the rev range. I would suspect either the intake valve has become tight or the car has lost compression due to rings.
I am fairly certain I have the car priced accordingly as nearly everything else is in working order minus a couple odds and ends mentioned above. I do have a few more pics available to interested parties. I am negotiable on the price due to misfire. Make me an offer, who knows.....
Thanks again
Matt

I gave you a call on your car. I certainly hope I have a chance to see it. I live in Alberta and have taken the I 15 to I 90 to get up to Seattle a time or two so I definitely could make it work to come by. Hope to hear from you .
