keep that guy away from my Tercel! I have bought fixers that must have had mechancis like that work on them before, everythign was way over tightend, usually cracked or broken off, warped, you name it.
Those bolts on the steering rack always are a fight to get off, I use a really big breaker bar and a several socket extensions so I can put a lot of force on it with the wrench above the engine.
