three lights on dash

this morning while driving to work i had the Temp light,Charge light,and Brake light come on. They all would come on and go off with no pattern. But it continues to do this the whole time i drive. My alternator is not even two years old. The car isn't running hot. I don't notice the car running any different. Any ideas ?

It's the alternator replacements these days are warrantied for life and guaranteed to fail every year or two
you can check it with a voltmeter

that was my first guess,but i dont get any draw when using,the heat,radio,lights all at the same time.But i will put a Voltmeter on there tomorrow just to make sure.

found a alternator on Amazon for 40 bucks. It will be here on Wednesday.That should do it.

The temp light should not be coming on if the alternator is out, that is odd.

often when the alternator goes out, other warning lights come on too. I have seen it on mine, and others have reported it too.

remember to check the voltage regulator if yours has an external type (some '83 and 84 model years use the external voltage regulator, is is mounted on the inner fender behind the battery).

today i also notice that she started idling high.Would i bad alternator do that ?? I just did a tune up about a week ago,the lights came on soon after,like the next day..

Check all the wiring and connectors around the alternator and plugs. Maybe something got disturbed. Disconnect each one and check them carefully.

this morning when i went to leave for work it wouldn't start. Alternator finally gave in. The new one will be here tomorrow. Then the girl should be fine.

just to make sure, verify that the belt on the alternator is tight and not slipping.

just hooked up the new alternator, and i have no power to the car at all. i took the battery out of my Volvo to make sure it wasnt the battery. Help

Has to be something simple check all connections is the main battery terminal corroded?
leave the key on and headlights then go under the hood and wiggle stuff around until something happens.

turns out i got the wrong Alternator. When i hooked it up it blew my Main fusible link.Went this morning to get another one just hooked it up . She got power and started right up.
