New Axels - Hard to Spin Wheels
So, I just got my new EMPI axels installed. The car is still up on jacks and I have the axel nuts tightened a bit, but not torqued down yet. But now it is very hard to spin the wheels. Should this happen with new axels? I was reading somewhere else online that they will loosen up fine after driving, but it seems weird to me that they would be so hard to spin right off the bat, especially not even torqued yet.

Re: New Axels - Hard to Spin Wheels
DO NOT TIGHTEN it. This is not normal, pull one axle out and compare the end to the axles you pulled out. there is an oil seal on the hub side and sometimes a metal shield or slinger on the axle side, make sure they are all compatible.
I have used EMPI axles before without issue, but it sounds like you have something wrong in the stack up or the seal and seat. The wheel and axle should spin freely when all bolted up, you have something binding there and it could cause damage, so make sure the axle end and seal seat is all compatible with the tercel hub.
good luck.
