looking for 1981 Toyota Corolla Tercel tensioner pulley

in need of 81 old school toyota tercel corolla pulley tensioner thanks

i just come from pick pull .and nothing like this avail.i try to put one from my 85 tercel wagon 4wd but they not the same so i probably need one from 80-82 Tercel if anybody out there has a good extra one i apreciate

I'm pretty sure they are the same. I put a tensioner from a blown 87 engine onto an 82 engine no issues.

Rockauto also shows same part numbers for all 80 to 86 tercels and 87-88 wagons.

thanks paul ,i look at both to compare but on my 81 the pulley has a big lip compare to our normal tr4 but i think i make them work somehow.i also need a ported vacum switch ,is that part next to carburator which conect three vacum lines ,one of the little tip is broke so doesnt hold the vacum hose in place anymoore.just got done clutch,front axles,all shocks struts,alingment,couple little thinks to make it run in good working order.

I had to use the 82 tensioner on my 81 when I did the seals or I'd send it to you.

All of mine looked the same oddly enough.

i well ,has to be tomorow it s 12 night time so i have to take off the air filter housing so i can show you.it lloks like a spark plug with 3 plastic needle holes wich you conect small 3 vacum lines

thanks paul ,i did The 81 my daily driver,and next week i put together the 85 Tr4 for winter driving.step by step just like to drive those cars.i let other people drive the new fancy cars with all leather and power ,buttons etc.i feel good in my little old school Toyotas

just been to pick pull today they have a 82 sedan white with no factory AC so no pulley to pick up but i solve the ported vaqum switch ,i go tomorow pick some extra engine parts like extra carb etc,so if you have a extra pulley of old school will be great,the one from tr4 wont work
