Re: '86 wagon parts car, $400 -- Minneapolis, MN
looks like a 2wd grill but the strut mount is oriented in the 4wd position. curious.
Re: '86 wagon parts car, $400 -- Minneapolis, MN
Actually, the strut is oriented in the power steering position. Oriented the other way, there would be less caster ie easier to steer (what you'd want with manual steering.)
if it aint there, there's a good chance it won't break!

Re: '86 wagon parts car, $400 -- Minneapolis, MN
you're right! i had to look it up to verify.
i'm still confused by something though. it says the orientation with the empty bolt hole at the back is w/o power steering, and the one with the empty bolt hole at the front is w/ power steering and 4wd. so what about manual steering and 4wd?

I have to go look at my cars now. I thought all the struts were mounted the same too!
Re: '86 wagon parts car, $400 -- Minneapolis, MN
I've got 2 '87 wagons- one 4wd and one fwd. Both have p/s and both have the struts oriented the same way.
