My thought on integrating the HAC was to drill and tap an air inlet port into the WEBER adapter plate in the small space where it rises. Not much room but could definitely make it happen without much issue. I think that maybe only one air bleed port could be integrated easily and run with only one instead of 2. ????????????????

Not sure if that would have the same effect. I'll take a look at some carb diagrams.

Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL
if you look at the HAC diagram in the FSM, its vac lines meet the carb throat up high around the float bowl, down lower just above the resting position of the throttle plate, and also tie in to the idle mixture screw's mixture. each one is fairly sophisticated. if you simply add a port to the weber's adapter plate you would essentially just be creating another manifold vacuum port, which is quite different from any of the 3 stock HAC vac ports just mentioned.
on top of that, there are already manifold vac ports you can tie in to if you want to go that route: just use a 'T' and tap in to one of the existing manifold vac hoses. this set up will lean out the mixture and advance the timing at idle and hwy cruising (more than regularly) when above 4000 ft elevation. that's quite different from the stock HAC but you could try it.
i would do some A/B/A/B testing to get a real idea of how much difference this makes. you should post your results, it would be interesting to see.

Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL
So I got my WEBER on and running. My issue is that I believe my fuel pressure regulator may be bad. The pressure bounces around on the gauge and never gets above 1.5 psi. I just put on a new fuel pump at the same time. When I directly connect the fuel hose to the carb from the pump it runs better. I know I need to run a regulator on the WEBER set up so I will be fixing that.
I have 1/4" fuel line from pump to regulator to carb...the regulator says to be used with 3/8" fuel line and the WEBER has a 3/8" fuel nipple. Could the size of fittings and hose be an issue?
Peace

Pump to Holley regulator: 1/4" line.
Regulator to Weber: 5/16" line.
I've not had a prob with this.
I did notice, however, that sometime over the Winter the Mr. Gasket gauge stopped working -so I bought another one to install.

Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL
have you noticed any problems driving the car while the FPR is hooked up? if there are no driving issues (particularly on hard throttle), i would test the fuel pressure with another gauge. the one you installed might be defective.

Re: WEBER TIME!!!!!...TURTCEL
I actually replaced the Holley regulator with a Mr. Gasket one because that is all I could find. It runs fine now. My wife actually took it out to run errands and sent me a text telling me that the car runs awesome and she can totally tell a major difference.
