I finally get my car back after it being at the mechanics twice. For the same problem. First he thought throw out bearing. Cool easy fix, replace the clutch while were at it. Get it back still the same. Take it back to him, this time its got to be the input shaft bearing. Go to drive it home and i believe one of the seals where the front axle goes in. Blows out and all the fluids come out also. So there shes sat since. Since the initial visit til now my car has been sittin for almost a year. So my question is, is that an axle seal that needs replaced? And if thats a fairly easy fix or what? Thanks and sorry for the rant, just so frustrated.

It sounds like the mechanic didn't 'pop' the axle fully into the trans. It can be put together with the axle not fully seated. I tried it myself one time just to check. It is only held in by a spring clip. The axle would not have moved out very far so it is possible that the seal was not damaged. Go under the car and put the axle fully in yourself. You put it in as far as you can by hand and then tap it home with a hammer and a block of wood.
Compare it to the other side, they should protrude out the same. Pull on it to make sure it is seated. Fill the trans and check for leaks after. That would be the easiest fix. If it does leak, it shouldn't be much. There are lots of posts here on how to replace the seal and it is not that difficult to do. Don't despair, you came to the right place.

throwout bearings and pilot bearings spin at a totally different time than input shaft bearings--throwouts and pilots spin when the clutch pedal is depressed, ISBs spin when the clutch pedal is not depressed regardless of whether the shifter is any gear or even neutral. that should make it very clear as to which is the problem.

if you are sure it is the axle seal, than yes, fairly easy fix. could be the axle just popped as already mentioned. These seals on the axles are pretty durable and hold up a long time if they do not get damaged from careless axle install/removal.
the input shaft bearing, if shot, often will cause the front input shaft seal to blow out because the shaft wiggles around with a bad bearing. this bearing goes out for one of two reasons: really bad pilot bearing (which is often mistaken for a bad throwout bearing BTW), allows the shaft to wiggle around out of center, wiping out both the input shaft bearing and the input shaft seal; or the trans was run low on gear oil (possibly from a leaky seal?), and being at the highest point on the trans, will be oil starved and will wipe out the input shaft bearing. when that happens it also often pits and damages the bearing race on the input shaft. this can be sleeved and re-machined, or it you replace it with a good input shaft. If you do not replace the input shaft that has a damaged bearing journal, it will wipe out any new bearing.
This is why it is important to always diagnose the problem before you fix it.
Good luck.

sometimes when the drive axles are popped in
the spring on the back side of the seal pops off too
this has happened to me twice
ever since, i grease the back side of the seal so it will hold that spring in place
if it did pop out, when you pull the axle it will be lying in there just behind the seal
if the input shaft bearing (the one inside the tranny) is bad it will usually be noisy
the noise stops when the clutch is pushed in

Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.
