thermostat location
Hi, I'm new to the Forum and had a couple of general questions I'd love help with, I'd be most grateful. This site is a wonderful resource! I have a 1984, 1452cc, 4WD manual shift, I am trying to locate the thermostat. I'm believe it is next to the water pump, in the lower radiator hose position, but I'm not sure. Also, are there any repair manuals for this vehicle anyone know about, perhaps online, downloadable, etc. Many Thanks, Dorje

welcome, dorje.
you are correct about where the thermostat is located. remove the lower rad hose, undo the two 10 mm nuts, and remove the thermostat and its housing. when you install the new one, make sure the jiggle valve is at the top. i don't use paper gaskets when i put it back together, just RTV silicone stuff.
