***looking for a complete set of the brown/tan plaid seats!!

Post by flyin1 »

Hey how's it goin guys.

I'm looking for a complete set of the brown/ tan plaid seats (both front and rear)!

Condition must be good, but doesnt have to be perfect as I plan on professionally cleaning the seats to get rid of small stains.

I am not interested in purchasing a set with many tears.

If you have one, please contact me.

I am located in Burnaby, BC and can meet across the Lower Mainland.

I have cash ready in hand!

PS- if you guys also have an inclinometer with a brown housing cover, I'd love to buy that as well.

flyin1, is this for the hatchback shown in your user pic? if so, i think only seats from 2wd tercels will fit, and possibly even only from hatchbacks. you might want to look into it before investing in anything.

I keep forgetting, but I'll check the front seat mounts on our FWD and 4WD tercels for you. The back seats definitely wouldn't fit a hatchback.

you can make anything fit, but fabricating or altering mounting methods can be a lot of work. you also might just consider some quality seat covers, good ones are not cheap, but make the seat much nicer.

I just paid for hand maid gortex seat covers for my fx to try and keep the seats good shape.
250.00 installed they fit perfect all the bolsters and vairous pallels were hand stiched to fit the seat.
IMO well worth it they do not look like seat covers at all and 100% waterproof.

I have been driving the FX to work and it's fun to drive quick and nimble however it doesn't have the Tercel "magic" for me.
I have done a couple of road trips in the last few weeks and have driven my t4 because it's more comfortable the FX is a little tight. The seat doesn't go as far back as the wagon and my knee hit's the gear shift (i'm 6'4" 250 lb). I'm going to start another thread on a few issues i have with the FX other forums are usless.

Thanks for the feedback... If you could check the mounts, it would be so damn helpful!

Thanks guys for all the advice. Killer seats, @gottolovem!

At this point, it is possible (or likely) that the tan/brown plaid seats from the 4wd tercel will not simply bolt in my stock mounts on a 2wd. So I am expecting to do a little custom work for it. I really don't care as my tercel and 4wd tercels are my passion. personally, I think those plaid seats will look stunning.

But, I am ready to purchase a set from someone who has one! Give me a shout.

My local pick& pull has a set of the seats you want and there in fair condition buy you are just to far away for it to make any sense.

I echo dlb's WOW, Gottolovem!
What was the source? They look similar to our SR5 seats, so I'd guess the price would be similar as well, huh?

I think they are the same as sr5 seats with different fabric.

This company has there off the shelf covers and the covers i bought where they measure out your specific seat and you pick fabric and colors.
