Howdy all,
I need to buy some all seasons for my 87 SR5 wagon, 175/70/13's.
It has finally quit snowing and I have taken off the snows, but the old all seasons are shot. Any suggestions? I do not want to spend $400 on a set, maybe half that much? (that's USD for you in the GWN).
In the past I have used a variety of tires, and lately have been running snows year round...but the summer mileage goes way down with snows on.
Looking for good road handling, etc.
Thanks!

I'm partial to Kumho tires and 14" wheels. The Kumhos have a fairly sticky tread....good prices.

Check the reviews at tirerack.com?

There's some info on tires and wheels in the Repair section.

If you buy a set of Michelins before the end of the month, you get a $50 Visa gift card. That'd make a set of X radials cost about $150 plus mounting and tax at Sam's. I considered buying a set this month, but I just don't have the cash right now.

$50 now, then $150 again in 20,000 miles sooner than the Yoko's?
Try Toyo, Yokohama, or Kumho.
