Don't get me wrong i love these cars and that one looks great but 3500 bucks

They never get 42 mpg,probably 32-35 a well maintained one and tuned up right

these cars have been creeping up in value over the years. It seemed common to find nice running examples for $600 to $800, and fixers for $100-200 (the first six I bought were between $100 and $200, all but one was in running condition). over the last ten years it is like the value of these great little 4wd wagons has been discovered and good condition examples with no mechanical issues will sell for $3000-3500, with a few rare exceptions going much higher if they have very low miles. there was one that sold on ebay for $10,800 that was in showroom new condition with only 36k miles on it a few years ago, but I do not think we will see anything like that again.

I have found however that even fixers with major repairs necessary will not be selling for higher prices than you used to be able to get good running Tercls for. And a nice interior with a near perfect body and paint is well worth it, mechanical repairs are easy and less costly than major body work or a decent paint job.

yes, they are going up in valve for good examples, but fixers are still cheap. There are however (and always have been) a few crazies that think these cars are worth a lot more than they can get. so the real quiestion is not their asking prcie, but what are poeple actually willing to pay for them.

I have often wondered if I made a business out of buying up all the Tercel4wd I can find and than rebuilding them with all fresh mechanical parts, new interior and paint, if I can sell them for enough to make it work running a small "production line" of Tercel reconstruction. They would have to sell for about $11,000 to make it worth the effort, which I think is perhaps a bit too high for a 25-30 year old car.

petros in 10 - 15 years from now ,there is no way to find $500 Tercel anymoore,everthing went up price,house -land -fuel ,properties,i think at recycle in my town they pay 175 with title on your name,probably moore like California-Nevada-WA,so i have time to stock parts,i just got from a guy in Canada like a pile of parts new stock oem made in japan,carburator,alternator,etc.so i still stock up parts.
