Help!! Need 85 sw part car in General Mississippi area

I have an 1985 tercel SW 2wd. Some dip decided he didn't need to stop coming out of a parking lot and side swiped me. I need a part car in order to fix it because the insurance company says there are no parts available and wants to total my car. I happen to like my car and would appreciate any help any one could provide. 300-500 is about what i want to pay for a part car. The passenger side rear door and front part of the rear wheel fender is damaged so part car needs to have good rear passenger side. A bonus would be that is has a good rear door. I live in gulfport Ms wold travel 9 hours one way but don't want to go much farther than that.

welcome, picayunebill. sorry to hear about your experience. the doors are easy to replace but unfortunately the rear fenders are not. i believe the only way to replace them would be to cut out the old and weld in new ones. so it might be easiest to take the insurance money and buy another tercel, and keep your current one for parts.

The insurance should have two payoff values one where they take the car generally A little more money.
And another payoff value where you keep the car it will be less.

Three years ago i had a similar situation the insurance offerd 1200 to take the car and 900 if i wanted to keep it i took the 900 sold the car for 800 i was pleased with the result because i paid 200 for the car it is still driving around town today all mangled up.
