Re: The bone yard
Shasta#2 was delivered last Friday and the parts car will be coming in the next few weeks.
The delivery of the parts car hinges on the weather it is currently being stored out of sight down a steep dirt road and the snow will need to melt first.

Another pile of parts today.
4.11 tranny complete and cycles through all gears(PO says it's good)
Gear box that appears to be complete and working(PO says it's good but needed diff for another project)
Sr5 trim
Side marker lights lots of them
A couple spindles
Blinkers
Blower motor
Calipers
Mud flap singular Haha
The rest of the stuff will come in a couple weeks inside the parts car(shell)

Re: The bone yard
I have not removed the front diff cover to confirm it yet but it has 3 plugs on it.
I have yet to see a 3.75 tranny with 3 plugs they all have 2 (rather certain of that)
I'm talking about the plugs for reverse lights extra low light and 4 wheel drive light of course.
I will comfirm gear ratio tomorrow.

Re: The bone yard
Well this is the first ring gear that i can't find a stamp on.
The pinion gear has 11 teeth and ring gear has 41 teeth 41÷11=3.73
This is also the first tranny i have seen with 3.73 gears that has three plugs on it.
I'm certainly no expert on transmissions but i could have sworn that three plugs only came on 4.11
Perhaps it's an sr5 thing with the extra dummy light on the tranny.
The more i learn about these t4s the more i realize there seems to be no steadfast rules to these cars
It also seems to me that 4.11 is harder to find than 3.73 and 4.11 came on more model years WEIRD.

Re: The bone yard
That's a great point
Lets hope when you get to your tranny project the diff is still good.
Perhaps the car your going to get will be the keeper and it's a moot point.
