oh boy. peeling clear coat, frayed and worn front seats, what appears to be rust repair around the 4wd badge on the hatch with unmatched paint...and a price of $4700 with a club on the steering wheel?

i don't think the seller is being entirely realistic about what the tercel is, or the condition of theirs.

That was for sale a while ago for much cheaper. Trying to flip for quite a bit it seems.

low miles, but even with good seats and paint, which this does not have, it will not bring that price. at least $1000 too high. I would set the value at about $3000-3400. he will be sitting on it for a while.

Wow.
Is there a hallucinatory drug problem in San Fran??

As a side note, there have been several "SR5's" lately that have all had the steel rims on them.
What's up with that, were mags a CDN market thing??

Am also curious about the wear on the seats.
My car has 415Km (250K mls) and the seats are in better shape (well, less worn anyways) than this one, that purportedly has less than half the mileage??
Are all these low mile cars just getting low mileage instrument packs swapped into them? or did they just get driven around unplugged for most of their life??
Maybe all that sunshine just causes them to shrivel up and look more worn than they really are??

lots of sunny days does damage to both paint and fabrics, and turns a lot of the plastic trim around the windows on the inside to dust.

i've noticed this as well, jarf. it seems that while all our canadian sr5's came with alloys, many US sr5's came with white steelies, which i hardly see as an upgrade.

the SR5 sold in the US had 5.5x13 steel wheels with chrome trim rings as I recall, the DLX has 5x13 wheels without the chrome rings. the alloy wheels, also 5.5x13 where an option for the SR5. odd that the SR5 sold in Canada always had the alloy wheels, being stiffer it improved handling noticeably.

Alloys were a surcharged upgrade. $113 in 1985 on the factory receipt for my cream rig. Note that was for ALL 5!
