Ok I purchased two t4's last month when I already own 4
Now I get a call from the person that sold me the car in the Shasta area he has another runner that is currently registered and a parts car. The parts car is full of extra t4 stuff he has collected over the years various transmissions from complete to incomplete, interiors, rear axles ,air conditioners,sr5 trim two engines with head gasket failure's( he just replaced engine's when a head's gasket let go?). He told me there is to much stuff for him to remember and keep track of.
I will be going to see the small mountain of stuff this weekend I sure hope it's not all junk!
I am glad that I live in an area where neighbors don't complain unless you have at least a bakers dozen! (of cars that is)
I may need to rename my place to the TEE4 BONE YARD
sounds like it is worth the trip! a treasure trove of useful parts. a head gasket replacement is much easier and faster than replacing a whole engine, he must have fear of opening an engine up. He should have joined this forum!
Save those cars and parts! the transmissions alone are worth the trip.
So I got car number one today it's the "runner"1983 sr5 the guy used to own a gas station and it was the loner/parts runner car for the station its a little rough but guy claims its the only t4 that never gave any trouble it just kept going and going. It will be a month before i have title in hand.
The other car it quite literally a shell with parts pilled inside two trannys door trim good doors, glass, regulators etc.
I was mistaken about extra engines but it is a small mountain of parts some good some not so much every time the guy scraped a car he pulled all the bits and pieces and put them in a box before it went to crusher.
The backs look awesome the front not so much!
This car will be good transportation for someone doesn't have a lot of money and doesn't care what there car looks like they just want to get where they need to go!
Paul my parts car still has a complete interior same color same pattern when you get to that point in your projects let me know and we will get you an interior
Please sell me the tow hitch off of that car!!! I made the mistake of not grabbing the one off one of the cars at pick and pull a while back.
I've started building a light weight 4x8 tear drop.
The cargo cover looks like someone put a tranny on it because all the plastic the cover"snaps" into is smashed and broken
I have another hitch i pulled from a car at the j yard a while back consider it yours.
The headliner scares me on that tercel.. It looks like arterial blood spray on the driver's side! How do people get things on the headliner? I've never managed to figure that out short of kids throwing crap around.

Haha, sorry! I just noticed the strange splatter on the headliner like Pokey has, I joked calling it that with her... though I'm sure it's just random splash from something else.
I never drink coffee so I'm not sure how someone could splash a mess up there, but I have heard of it before I guess. Must be one hell of a bump to get something up there.
sometimes if moisture can leak up there from perhaps a faulty windshield install, it will make rusty stains that come from the backside (and look like dried blood). Perhaps condensation or other things can leave enough moisture to cause the rust stains too.
I have often wondered if someone is hold a large latte or some other similar drink, and they have to move suddenly or slam on the brakes to avoid traffic, if they smash their paper cup and it pops the plastic lid off, if some of it would end up on the head liner. Most of it would end up in your lap of course, which would account for why the head liner was the last thing on their mind.
