First $500 gets good running 83 tercel SR5

This forum is for cars that run, or at least are close to running. This isn't for parting out complete cars.

you can usually get a transport permit for something like $18 from California DMV. should be good enough for driving it out of the state. these are issued so you can drive a car to a repair shop to get it worked on to pass emissions, or drive it to a wrecking yard. also works for getting it out of state. I have done it before.

I have other projects to attend to, but I would put those off to save a Tercel4wd from going to the wrecking yard. If Irowiki wants to save it and make it his own, I have no problems with that either, saves me the trouble.

The dmv has two forms of moving permits in state and interstate.
Clearly if you're heading out of state you need a interstate pass .
Good luck :P

The chances are good if you are pulled over with a bill of sale and title in hand the police will let it slide.
But if you HIT someone with no insurance thats another matter all together.

In nevada there is a form of insurance called "broad form" and it is a insurance card you carry with your drivers licence and covers you behind the wheel of any car you touch.it cost's me 425 dollars per year Keep in mind if you Have this type of insurance only you can drive your cars because the cars themselvs are not insured you are!
Comes in handy when someone wants to borrow your car!

My insurance covers any car I drive, but I would just add it to my insurance ahead of time, that's what I did with Pokey to drive her home from the PNW.

I just got off the phone with Caradoc and I am stoked!

Was never my daily driver, just one of way too many projects. Bought 6 oil filters and used one when I did Mobile 1 Other five come with it. What does it need? Really deserves a new battery, but this one will do if you start it every day. Only mandatory item is that overflow hose leading from radiator cap is split and should be replaced. Minor item: there's some plastic missing from top of windshield washer fluid tank (barely shows in picture). Worth a piece of duct tape until you replace the tank.

Next will send photo of left rear damage.

I have the rectangular piece of plastic trim that's missing and will include if unless it's been misplaced.

That will take us up to:
Pokey the auto 4WD 83
Party the auto FWD 87 (need to do engine swap, we have the replacement in our garage still)
Snap the manual 4WD 87 (Need to see what's up with the trans and replace hatch/back window... Not to mention a massive disinfection from the moulding smell inside.)
... and the new comer whenever he goes out to get her.

We're discussing what cars to let go. We'll be keeping Party for me, most likely, since I don't need 4WD really for any of my driving purposes. It's looking like Pokey might be going to resale once we get one of the manual wagons going as Paul's primary driver. At this point the newcomer is looking to fill that slot as snap needing work will likely be held off til spring.

This looks like a car I was going to buy several years ago, it might even be the same one. I would take it but I have my hands full already with two...
