Hello iam looking for a input shaft bearing for an 87 wagon. The one i need is the smaller inner one. My original post is in repair. The car is apart and this is the only thing i need to get her going.
Sorry if this is a repeat or in the wrong section.

Re: input shaft bearing availability
You need the small one in the engine or the big one on the shaft when you pull it out of the bell housing?
Is it the small one that's in the bell housing accessed from the clutch side?
Did you pull the entire tranny to get to the bearing or just pull the shaft with tranny still in the car?
I think i have what you are after post a photo!

couve terc, if you can get all the measurements from your old bearing and make friends with someone at a parts store, you might be able to use the measurements to find a matching bearing. or just hang on until petros gets his trans rebuild kit and see if the part #s on the bearing bring something up.

about that inner input shaft roller bearing

NSK VP34-1 90365-34003 34mm 58mm 13mm .02mm
i currently have a local machinist looking into either
1. finding an original bearing as listed above (very hard to find now)
2. finding a replacement bearing match (unlikely)
3. finding a bearing close enough to modify housing and / or input shaft to suit (expensive)
I should know in a week or so

Love those Tercell 4x4 wagons but they sure suffer from road noise.

I wonder if a direct inquiry to Koyo USA will net any results...

Re: input shaft bearing availability
Just retrieved the bearing from the mechanics and its the rear. I got thrown off when he said he had to disassemble to get to it. But its the more common rear. Still gonna persue trying to get this bearing, just to have just in case. From my research though it looks like that rebuild kit that advanced auto has. The one petros just ordered is the only one ive seen. I know i keep saying thanks for all the responses. But im just amazed at the quickness and the knowledge of the peeps on here.

Re: input shaft bearing availability
this is the larger bearing that stays attached to the end of the input shaft? it comes out when you remove the cover and slide the input shaft out the back of the bell housing? that one is available, and I likely have some used ones kicking around my garage somewhere. I would also consider replacing the input shaft seal while you are at, that too should still be available as it is a fairly standard seal.
