Re: New member from Portland, OR - '86 Tercel Wagon DLX
that's a really clean looking engine bay. very nice. i see you removed the charcoal can though. don't throw it out in case you want to reinstall it if you find the car smelling of gas. my car would intermittently smell really strongly of gas until i put the charcoal can back in. i know tom removed his and put a hose from the vapor line to the hole in the frame but having the can does not impact fuel economy or driveability, plus it makes use of those fumes, so i think it's a great component to keep in the loop even if you don't smell gas.
at the very least, do NOT plug the steel vapor line. it looks unplugged in your pics but i just wanted to make sure. i made that error and the car puked gas out the gas cap before i realized what i'd done.

Yeah I ran it down to where the charcoal canister line went. I can update in a day or two how it drives and fumes.

Yep they are NB Miata wheels. 15x6 and 13 lbs a piece. +40 offset.
The other car is my roommate's Datsun 210. I honestly love that car (previously owned a 620 pickup) it has been from Texas to California to Oregon and everywhere in between. Only 155k original miles, very very cool car.

GT, did you need to change your lug studs for the miata wheels? i did a test fit and it looked like there were enough exposed threads (6 or 7) on my 4wd corolla wagon but it was pretty close.

Nope, seemed to fit just fine. No issues for me.

with how active you are on your car, i don't think you ever sleep.
looks great. did you paint them yourself? did you just mask the tires off or did you remove them for painting? i definitely prefer to have tires off when i paint wheels but i have had some decent success with masking the tires when already mounted. it would be way harder with white though since any overspray or poor masking would be so obvious.

I wish I had more to show for it.
Doing a trade with irowiki for a tach cluster, can't wait to put that in!
Two boxes came in from the parts I've ordered for the motor refresh, still waiting on two more but that should be done mid-February. New clutch, head gasket, most gaskets replaced and general cleaning.

Purchased a JDM steering wheel from an AE86 Corolla overseas. Excited to put this wheel in.
