his description of the transmissive failure does not make sense, it might need a new trans, or just an input bearing, or even just a new CV axle.

Price is too high if it needs a new transmission, and both body and interior are not quite as pristine as the seller thinks.

Worth fixing, or at least investigating, but he would have to be more flexible on the price.
