a fair amount of rust, broken tail light lens, torn driver seat, missing wheel center cap...i wouldn't say it's in "great" shape.

Yeah, this one looks like it could be a project. But I've always wondered about owning an automatic terc.

i used to too, then i fixed one up for my last project terc and got a chance to drive it lots. i didn't like it at all. it was a completely different experience from driving a manual trans tercel. the manual trans tercs feel so quirky and interesting to me, and the automatic was just boring. they still get good mileage and are great in snow and whatnot but for me, the automatics lack the magic that made me dig tercs so much in the first place.

I don't see the bad rap myself, if you're used to automatic cars in the first place (and possibly going slower).

It isn't louder when going 70 than say my old 1995 Neon. I think the neon was louder!


I'll have to fix the carb on my sedan before I can really make any useful power comparisons.


That said, I'm still going to try and pick up a manual T4 at some point!
