Wagon parts I need

Post by irowiki »

Okay, it is time to start collecting the various parts I need for Pokey.

Rear hatch plastic trim
Front defroster vents
SR5 multi function switch for intermittent wipers
Black ATM hatch (SR5 or not)
Inclinometer hood
rear window with defroster wires and seal
front turn signals

I'm not sure if this is a user replaceable part, but the rear glass with working defroster wires (mine has a mess of ruined window tint on it, may be easier to find a new hatch?)

for the rear glass, i have removed window tint just using a hair dryer and then rubbing all the residual glue off with my hands. took an hour or so but not that bad. if the defroster lines are broken, they can be repaired with a repair kit from any auto store. my tips for repairing those lines are: use painters tape to mask as close to the defrost lines as possible; and use a sharp, small blade to cut the repair paste between the defrost line and the tape. i found that when i removed the tape without cutting the repair paste, all of the paste would come off and i'd have to do it over again.

yep, those shocks that hold the hatch up are called lift supports.

Excellent David! A few of the lines look broken already, and turning the defroster on didn't do anything (the light turned on but I could tell there was no load)

Gives me more hope of actually fixing it!
